This service allows subscribers to form Community groups by grouping DID phone numbers in a Community Group Set. This is useful for providing Instant help during emergencies in a neighborhood, contacting and reaching out to work-force in small communities for social and maintenance work etc.
Multiple Phone numbers are entered in a group to form a Community Call Group.
Once a set is formed, one number can be assigned to the group as a separate DID representing the whole group.
A Community Call group can be configured in two modes:
In Hunt-Group mode, a user calls the group DID; the system generates calls in parallel to all numbers in the group. When one of the phone numbers responds, the system cancels all other calls and the responder is connected to the caller in a one on one call.
In conference mode, a user calls the group DID; the system generates calls in parallel to all the numbers in the group; the system joins all responders into a conference so that the caller may have automated consultation of multiple group members at the same time.
