This service provides a unified message handling capability for subscribers. Three types of messages are currently supported:
- SMS (Short Messaging Service)
This service allows the subscriber to maintain and manage his/her voice mail box. Calls can be forwarded to the mailbox by setting the destination to mail box for any of the forwarding services. The voice mail box could also be set as the default (final) destination for all incoming calls in case the system is unable to connect an incoming call to the subscriber.
Mailbox can be managed by dialing a special voice mail extension in a PBX environment or through subscriber’s VOIP number in case dialing from outside. The mailbox is protected by a 4 digit pass-code with maximum of three failed attempts.
The service also provides option for sending the incoming mail alert to the subscriber in an email, Instant Message to the SIP Phone, or sending the Voice Mail itself as an attachment in an email.
As an option, the service can be integrated with Micro-Soft Outlook to alert the user and also to download the Voice Mail as an attachment.
The mailbox can also be managed via web-based subscriber self-care portal.
This service allows the subscriber to maintain and manage his/her incoming faxes. The subscriber can receive Faxes on his DID Phone number. The Fax is stored as a TIFF format file in the subscriber’s Fax Box.
The service also provides option for sending the incoming new fax to the subscriber as an email attachment.
As an option, the service can be integrated with Micro-Soft Outlook to alert the user and download the Voice Mail as an attachment.
Fax box is also manageable through the web-based subscriber self-care portal.
